Cebred

Brescia, Italy

The Brief: Expand Cebred’s head office into the basement and ensure the small office interior design flows from one floor to the next.

The Challenge: To create natural light in the basement.

The Project: Cebred, an accounting firm, wanted to extend their existing offices into the building’s basement. Additional offices, a storage area and a meeting room were needed below and it was important to maintain as much natural light as possible.

We started the small office interior design by stripping the walls and discovered charming stonework that we instantly wanted to maintain. This would be the design that breathed life into the offices and we altered the project accordingly. In fact, the client wanted to emulate the striking brickwork in the first floor offices, which we carried out once the basement was completed.

Down below, the client wanted to keep as much natural light as possible from the few small windows. The answer was to create glass wall partitions between the offices, allowing the light to flow between rooms. The small office interior design now emanates a homely vibe. Adding to that welcoming atmosphere, we built a new entrance hall to greet guests as they enter the basement.

The result is a modern yet rustic setting with light rooms and happy employees!
