The Brief: Create the architecture office design for IVAR’s new academy capturing the brand’s identity.
The Challenge: Needs to be an eye-catching building and instantly recognisable as IVAR.
The Project: IVAR’s main buildings and operations – manufacturing heating and plumbing systems – are centred together in Prevalle, Italy. The new academy would also be in the same industrial park the building had to be immediately identifiable as IVAR from afar. We therefore used the brand’s core identity in the architecture office design, including colours, geometrical lines, materials and graphics.
The building sits on the main road which gave us a great opportunity to highlight IVAR to passing motorists. We were asked to be creative, so our architecture office design consists of a giant orange cube – IVAR’s symbol – which is ‘cut’ with vertical cracks, giving the impression that another cube is hiding beneath it. The walkway at the front of the building is split with geometrical paths, the same lines that we used in the office building interior design for IVAR’s head office. To the side of the academy lies a roofed car park with creative orange support columns that double as a brand statement.
The interior of the architecture office design is very flexible with large, open spaces that can be divided into smaller offices if needed. We applied the same theme and materials as the interior of IVAR’s head office which is connected to the academy by a large garden with a water feature.
The result is a creative and distinctive architecture office design that represents IVAR in every way.
