The Brief: Design luxury leisure amenities in the desert for a high-end client.
The Challenge: To understand the desert landscape and design resort architecture plans which include a cantilevered swimming pool jutting out over a hill.
The Project: Overlooking the sands of Saudi Arabia, our task was to create the architectural layout for luxurious leisure facilities. We designed the bespoke Desert Resort architecture plans with meticulous attention to detail, bringing the owner’s vision to life
Built in a desert, we had to take into account the landscape, the site’s foundations, the climate, the requested leisure facilities and the upmarket materials. The resort architecture plans consisted of a flat-roofed building, in keeping with Saudi houses, and sand-coloured materials (bricks and concrete) to blend into the background. To optimise the vast, breath-taking view, we chose full-length windows which also complement the environment. The ground floor games room and dining room are divided by a spectacular spiral staircase with access to the roof-terrace and living room, which both offer panoramic vistas.
The cantilevered swimming pool, which required architectural precision, was chosen to make an impressive statement and allow guests uninterrupted views of the dramatic scenery.
The result is a striking leisure building designed to impress yet fit in with the environment.
