The Brief: Complete the interior restoration of a 1930’s villa on the Côte d’Azur.
The Challenge: Completely redesign the interior while maintaining a French Mediterranean look.
The Project: The villa is perched on the Nice coastline offering expansive views across the Mediterranean Sea. We wanted to showcase the panoramic vistas in a Mediterranean interior design so restructured the apartment’s layout to capitalise on them.
On the ground floor we created a living room with clean lines and light colours, a mezzanine that has views across the sea and an open plan kitchen – the latter with a breakfast bar against the window. On the lower floor we added three new suites, with access to the outdoor terrace, and en suite bathrooms. In the basement, still in keeping with the Mediterranean interior design, we created a bright studio plus a two-bedroom apartment for guests.
One of our favourite features is the Turkish bath, that sits on the outdoor terrace. We also added a new private walkway with direct access to the sea.
The result is a complete revamp of the house with a Mediterranean interior design, which offers a bright and airy atmosphere.
