Villa K1

Koufonissi, Greece

The Brief: Design a spacious, Greek villa architecture design with outdoor living areas.

The Challenge: Ensure the traditional Cycladic style and strict building regulations and are maintained.

The Project: The villa sits on the island of Koufonissi (Greece), one of many that make up the Greek Cyclades islands. The typical architecture of the region, thick white walls with bright blue doors, was important in the villa architecture design, as was ensuring the villa had living areas both inside and out. To give ample space inside for the sleeping and dining areas, we placed the lobby, halls and a few comfy seating areas outside.

We added another modern twist by creating low beds made from the white plaster, adding sleek lines to the villa architecture design and including stylish lighting in all the rooms.

The result is a striking villa architecture design that showcases the best of the island’s traditions mixed with sleek, modern features.
